Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Do you allow pets?
Pets are allowed at the Lodge. We have a one-time $40 fee for each animal. There is plenty of room for a dog to run and enjoy the open space, the lake, and the forest. Kindly clean up after it. Also, please be considerate of people who may be using the Cabin next door.
Typically, we do not allow pets in the Cabin. The Cabin is relatively small and that makes it difficult to accommodate large animals. Sorry!
Question: Is firewood available for the fire pits?
We do not provide firewood. However, we are in the middle of the Hiawatha National Forest, and you are welcome to gather downed wood from around the area. Do not cut down any trees yourself, but several nearby areas have been cleared recently and there are plenty of branches, etc. laying around. Wood that is propped up (not lying directly on the ground) is usually good for burning. You may help yourself and gather what you need from the forest. Always be careful when burning in the forest and put fires out completely!
