The Thunder Lake Lodge and Cabin offer a special time away in the forest by the lake and can be the base for taking in the intriguing sights of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula!
Thunder Lake Lodge
The Thunder Lake Lodge is a four-bedroom house that is the place for your large group. The seven queen beds and three twin beds, plus a sofa bed, can accommodate 12 or more. A great room with dining table and gathering space, a family room with great view of the lake, a kitchen with commercial-size stove, and more. A large charcoal grill is available, but bring your own charcoal.

Thunder Lake Cabin
The Thunder Lake Cabin is a two-bedroom cabin that is just right for a couple or small family. With the two double beds and a sofa bed it can accommodate up to six. The open design provides place for living room, dining area, and kitchen. It shares the grounds with the Lodge but has its own separate space. A small charcoal grill is available but bring your own charcoal.

Grounds and Pits
The grounds have plenty of space for outdoor games and fun. Bring your own frisbees, balls, and more. A horseshoe pit is ready for you. Enjoy a campfire around a fire pit: a large fire ring is near the shore, and a separate fire pit is outside the Cabin. Roasting sticks are provided in both the Lodge and Cabin. Extra chairs are available in each place.
Swimming Area
A substantial shallows means that children have plenty of room to play and swim safely in the clear water. The dock makes a great place to sunbathe or sit and take in the natural setting.
Watercraft
Several watercraft are provided for you. Kayaks and row boats make it easy to get out on the lake. Enjoy the natural scenery: half of the Thunder Lake shoreline is a state or national park. Bring your own jet ski, motor boat, or pontoon boat, whatever. The public boat landing is adjacent to our property: launch your boat there and bring it right over to the dock.
Fishing
A separate fish cleaning station is provided for you to prepare your catch. Thunder Lake is a great place to fish: there are bluegill, small mouth bass, perch, pike, & more.
